Katamari damacyyyyyy. A decent inspiration albeit unoriginal. The story and comics were entertaining. My main problem with it is the limited area of play. it needs to be dynamic and scrolling, with more objects to devour. Having a 1000x1000 area means eating everything then going around the edges to catch spawning objects.

A decent start, but you need some work.

There are plenty of problems with this game, some that can be addressed fairly easily. First off, use space bar for firing rather than ctrl, its more comfortable. Secondly, use either attachMovie(linkage, newname, level) or duplicateMovie(linkage, newname, level) to create new instances of the bullets, and use variable counters to ensure they have different names and are on different layers. That way you can shoot more than one bullet at a time. If you don't know what I'm talking about, search for basic tutorials on them or look at the flash help page. Third, come up with a better concept than side scrolling enemiess that your space ship shoots. I'm sure this was one of your first submissions and you followed a basic shooter tutorial (I started with the same one) but try and put more effort into your submissions. Lastly, don't give up, as each successive game becomes easier to make as you get more familiar with actionscript. Good luck and hopefully I've been helpful.

Not a bad game.

Your animations were fluid, your gameplay was solid, and your sounds were good too, but your game fell short on originality. While there were components that deviated from the norm, such as leader powers, the concept has been tirelessly done over and over again. You have talent and could make gold, but this isn't it. A good, solid game never the less.

This has to be the greatest game ever.

The art, the music, the physics, the controls, the concept, all perfect. I have never seen a game that was this well made before.

good

However, you need to increase the framerate. Im guessing you used about 30 fps? It needs to be at least 60 when dealing with highspeed collisions. Half the time I would go to hit the puck, and I would have moved so much by the time the frame updated, that I was infront of the puck, causing it to bounce backwards, usually into my own goal. Your disclaimer shows that you know of this, but were too lazy to do it. For that I took off a few points. It was a good game aside from that, good Ai, sound, and graphics.

Great game

however, it is glitchy, and is easy to cheat in by pressing play. Definatly desirves front page.

good game, but too hard

and the lack of a save feature is infuriating, I dont want to start all over because I lost one match. It is way to hard to beat the champion.

good concept

Could have been better, if you included more objects to dodge, more objects to hit, and more everything. It was kinda slow paced and boring, and to the dumbass below me who was shouting into his mic, try blowing into it, makes alot of noise in the computer, but none in real life.

I know what you mean with the boredom - the movement AI was done a bit last minute and I only tweaked it a little. I may do a sequel.

Very nice

I downloaded your source, and you definatly have some talent. Good work, and hopefully we'll see this code implimented in a game some time.

Good, but I am having trouble with it.

I have tried this out, and can't seem to get it to work.
I believe the error I am having has to do with the declaration of the file name. Does it need to be in quotes? Do I need to specify the path? Do I need to include the .swf? Please help me out.
